I just came across an interesting bit of data from Website Magazine; in a study by Rice University: - less than 20% of users return to businesses where they purchased a deal for a full-priced purchase. - 21.7% never redeem their deals (you could make an argument that isn't all bad, getting the money for nothing) - 26.6% of businesses report losing money on the deals BUT on the other hand, there are few other places you can get 80% success rate for your advertising (depending on how you define "success").
